White Plains New York Restaurants
Set on 80 hectares of pasture and farmland, it is a true symbiosis of farm and restaurant. Caravela (@ caravelatarrytown.com) is one of the newest restaurants in White Plains, New York, and the first of its kind in the state.
The cuisine is a little north-facing, but it is prepared with local and natural ingredients, and local sourcing is available, from the kitchen to the bar, where a wide selection of local wines, beers, cocktails and wines from around the world are offered. You can expect veal (the truffle carbonara is a dream of Rigatoni cognoscentias), delicious salads, homemade pasta and playful homemade desserts. The kitchens offer a mix of traditional dishes such as a hearty salad, a rich, rich and delicious roast veal, and more exotic dishes such as gazpacho or a decadent gorgonzola, which looks like vinaigrette.
They give a stimulating touch to typical routine dishes and ensure that the ingredients are as fresh as possible. Grilled spreads, steamed rice bowls with fresh herbs and spices such as basil, garlic, ginger and coriander are inspired by the cuisine of the dining cars from Paris and Mumbai.
The menu is similarly varied, from a grilled squid salad to a salad of pomegranate and garlic with spicy tomato sauce. A chicken and egg salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic and basil is excellent, as is a sweet and sour chicken salad. Also good is the cheaper entrA (c), a light, sun-blended dumplings - dried tomatoes, green onions, basil and red peppers.
Even the quesadilla gets a special, a smoked gouda cheese served with roasted corn salsita and pomegranate reduction. If you want to have fun, you can grab a good bite on the special board, but there are some recurring specials, such as the Legalize Marinaraa shirts hanging on the wall, and a bucatini covered in a smooth foie gras sauce. A delicate, charred Neapolitan style, garnished with thinly sliced lemons and topped off with a generous dollop of mozzarella and fresh basil. Soft crab shells, roasted Brussels sprouts with puffed Parmesan cheese, sweet and sour allspice cheese or soft soft crab shells.
Japanese immigrants - influenced by Tiradito with raw sushi - turn seafood into Italian crudo slices. Start with the fried octopus and choose from a variety of other dishes such as tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab, tuna salad and more. Peruvian yellow peppers and limes, served with a generous dollop of olive oil and fresh lime juice and a side of pico de gallo. You start your meal with stuffed eggplant and then choose between fried chicken, macaroni and cheese or a selection of salads and starters.
Family-style dishes offer options for the whole group, including fried bananas, and offer a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta and more. The main course consists of black beans, rice and steamed vegetables, and the main dish includes a roast suckling pig. For starters, the menu includes a selection of chicken and pork ribs, pork chops, chicken breast and beef ribs.
Get a family-style pasta for $36 on Sundays, and it's an exceptional offer, with an additional $5 off every other day of the week and $10 off on Fridays and Saturdays.
Brunch is certainly a rich meal, but X2O takes it to a new level with several buttered trays, including coconut prawns and ravioli with wild mushrooms, and coated courses. The service and timing of each course are so good that when you serve the menu you will be served a slice of Soppressata and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Chef Beck Bolender was once a celebrated Jean Georges and the chef understands Skilful coating, but also an excellent cook.
